Transport

How to get to Liberec?

 The transport department aims at smooth transport of everyone, but especially the accredited persons.
All transport operations will be controlled by Central Dispatching; covering the needs of individual groups of the EYOWF 2011 participants as efficiently as possible.
The transport department will closely cooperate with both the safety department and municipal and national police authorities.
The organiser will provide transport services to all accredited groups of the EYOWF 2011 participants:
  • Delegations of National Olympic Committees (athletes, trainers, professional accompaniment);
  • Delegated officials and judges;
  • Delegates and guests of the Association of European Olympic Committees, National Olympic Committees, Organising Committee, and other organisations;
  • Accredited media;
  • Volunteers;
  • Members of the Organising Committee;

The transport of all groups will be secured according to the needs, and depending on both sports and social programme of the 2011 Festival. It will take the form of shuttle transport, using a mix of buses, microbuses, and passenger cars.

The main airport of the 2011 Festival will be Prague-Ruzyně. From here, the organiser will secure transport to Liberec and back. The distance between Prague airport and Liberec is approximately 130 km.

Public Transport
The city of Liberec is equipped with an extensive network of both city and intercity public transport. Its range easily covers connections between individual sports centres; nearby parking lots will also be available.
Transport information will be gradually updated.
